Our next exhibit, paintings by Monterey resident Katherine Ryan Waiveris, entitled Evidence of
Living, will open on June 5, with a reception that evening from 5:30-7 p.m. Please join us!
Waiveris has been painting for many years, but like most of us, the Pandemic diverted the path
that she thought she was on. For a time, she wasn’t even sure she would return to it! But a
year ago she did: “with less time, less space, and a changed perspective.” Because of this
diversion, her work “moves across subjects, materials, and approaches.” The paintings are
connected not by a uniform style, but by capturing periods of change.
The artist feels that the work in this exhibition “identifies the evidence of the life I have lived in
the past decade.” Please join us for the opening, or see the show during its run June 5 – July
18, ending its run just before the Library Book Sale on July 25. Please join us for that event, too!
