Knox Gallery / Monterey Library

The Knox Gallery has presented over 90 exhibitions since its founding in 2010.

Through exhibits by prominent artists, annual community group shows, artists’ talks,

and opening receptions, the gallery adds to Monterey’s richness. Knox Gallery is

supported by the Friends of the Monterey library and is also a source of frequent

donations to the Friends.

GALLERY SPACE PLANS

The following pictures show the size of the exhibition space and possibilities for displaying art work. The walls are eleven feet high around the room. While mostly wall space, there are a number of pedestals for horizontal display. There have been displays that are interactive and included screens or audio portions. There are outlets available which can be seen on the pictures.

Hanging is not consistent throughout the gallery. There is a person who is responsible for hanging and knows where it is possible to nail into the wall, and where because of the plaster, work is displayed by hanging with our wire system.
