Join Linda Saul-Sena in conversation with acclaimed journalists Devin Friedman and
Danielle Pergament at the Monterey library on Saturday, June 27 at 10 am.
A multi-dimensional writer, journalist author, and screen writer, Devin Friedman’s work
has appeared in The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, GQ, New York Times magazine, as
well as on Netflix, HBO, and AMC. Devin has reported from Russia, Pakistan, Iraq and
many other countries. “This is Our War: A Soldiers Portfolio”, photographs taken by
Americans serving during the Iraq war, was curated by GQ Editorial Director Devin
Friedman, along with his colleagues at the magazine.
Danielle Pergament is a veteran travel writer, journalist, and author. As an editor at
Condé Nast publishing, she moved to Italy where she also began writing for the New
York Times and New York magazine. Her articles have also appeared in Travel &
Leisure, Bon Appetite, New York Times magazine, as well as The International Herald
Tribune. Danielle’s work has been anthologized in books such as The New York Times
Explorer, Cultured Traveler, and the 36 Hours series. Her book, “Dispatches from the
Piazza: A Guide to Life on the Mediterranean” was recently released.
Devin, Danielle, their two children and a mean-spirited cat live in Monterey.
Linda Saul-Sena is a community arts activist and writer here in the Berkshires. For over
twenty years, she served as a Tampa City Councilwoman. Linda now lives with her
husband Mark Sena in a historic stone house in Monterey.
