On Saturday, June 28, at 11 a.m., join Eoin Higgins (left) for a talk about tech, media, and politics. Eoin grew up in Monterey and is an accomplished journalist whose work has focused on the political impact of Silicon Valley’s rightward turn over the past decade. His new book, Owned: How Tech Billionaires on the Right Bought the Loudest Voices on the Left, addresses how moguls like Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, and Marc Andreessen have used the power of the purse to “buy” journalists like Glenn Greenwald and Matt Taibbi. Eoin will be joined in conversation by his father, John, a former library trustee and visiting lecturer in classics at Trinity College in Hartford.
