Exhibition Space and Meeting Room
An ever-evolving art and community space under the auspices of the Monterey Library, Knox Gallery invites a dialogue between artists and community through innovative exhibitions and other events related to our dynamic Berkshire environment. The Knox Gallery’s delightful, light-filled space hosts approximately eight shows each year that highlight the work of both local artists and others whose work relates to our mission. In addition to these one- and two-person shows, our team presents one theme-driven, open group show each December.
Knox Gallery welcomes proposals from individual artists and groups of artists that would like to exhibit together and also curatorial proposals. We encourage both concept-based exhibitions with a strong visual component and those of traditional art mediums.
To apply, please submit the Application form below. Our Knox Gallery team will take a look at materials, consider both our schedule and programming and respond promptly. Please note that community members of all ages visit our library and gallery. Throughout the year, including during exhibitions, the Knox room is used for classes, workshops and talks, catering to all age groups. We are cognizant of our audience in exhibition plans.
Please take a look at the Protocol and Agreement after the 2017 schedule for more on our capabilities and exhibitors’ responsibilities.
